A Generative and Iterative Model
This model is designed to be generative and iterative, a starting point rather than an exhaustive compilation. We acknowledge that not all traditions are included, recognizing the vast diversity and richness of spiritual wisdom worldwide. Feedback loops are embedded in the model to ensure it evolves and stays responsive to the needs and insights of its practitioners. Our approach is all about meeting everyone where they are on their unique spiritual journey.
Self-Discovery Lamp
- Concept: Rooted in Sufi teachings, the Self-Discovery Lamp invites us on a sacred pilgrimage within, mirroring the divine essence. It resonates with Christian beliefs of being fearfully and wonderfully made, Dzogchen philosophy's recognition of the impermanence of self, and the Hindu concept of "Atman" (inner self). The Jewish practice of cheshbon hanefesh (accounting of the soul) adds depth, aligning with Chakras and the Medicine Wheel.
Connection Lamp
- Concept: The Connection Lamp invites us to embrace unity. Rooted in Sufi teachings, it represents a sacred dance and communion with the divine. It aligns with Christian Fruits of the Spirit, Dzogchen's deeper connections beyond superficial identities, the Jewish concept of Klal Yisrael, and the Hindi "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" (the world is one family).
Growth Lamp
- Concept: The Growth Lamp symbolizes continuous expansion. Aligned with Sufi teachings, it resonates with the Christian call to grow in grace, Dzogchen principles of unfolding awareness, the Jewish concept of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world), and the cyclical nature of growth and rebirth in Hinduism ("Samsara").
Inclusivity Lamp
- Concept: The Inclusivity Lamp embraces all, reflecting Sufi teachings on diversity and unity, Christian principles of loving one's neighbor, Dzogchen's transcendence of dualities, and Jewish teachings on Tzedakah and Gemilut Hasadim. The Hindi "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" further highlights humanity's oneness.
Healing Lamp
- Concept: The Healing Lamp invites restoration and well-being. It aligns with Sufi teachings on divine love, Christian ministries of healing, Dzogchen's interconnected well-being, Jewish prayers for complete healing (Refuah Shlema), and Ayurvedic principles in Hinduism.
Learning Lamp
- Concept: The Learning Lamp emphasizes continuous discovery. Rooted in Sufi teachings on knowledge, it mirrors Christian encouragement for wisdom, Dzogchen's beginner's mind, Jewish emphasis on Torah study, and the sacred knowledge in Hinduism ("Jnana Yoga").
Fun Lamp
- Concept: The Fun Lamp celebrates joyous living. Aligned with Sufi delight in the divine, it resonates with Christian rejoicing, Dzogchen's present moment play, Jewish festivals, and the Hindu concept of life as divine play ("Lila").
Organization Lamp
- Concept: The Organization Lamp invites order and harmony. It aligns with Sufi discipline, Christian stewardship principles, Dzogchen's external order influencing internal clarity, Jewish daily rituals, and the Hindu principle of "Dharma" (righteous duty).
Safety Lamp
- Concept: The Safety Lamp offers protection and security. Aligned with Sufi divine refuge, it resonates with Christian promises of God's protection, Dzogchen's impermanence, Jewish concepts of divine protection, and the Hindu principle of "Sharanagati" (surrendering to a higher power).
